PLOTTING POST: THE WAR

Your Main Options
Hello team! Per the latest mod announcement, we're having a war event starting November 4 and ending the 18th, before we break for the holidays. You have three main options in this plot:
- Combat against D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents, primarily NPCs, although we might get some PC antagonists too. The agents can be non-sentient monsters, earthquakes, firestorms, or intelligent warriors with a variety of armaments.
- Temple Sanctuary, essentially hurt/comfort, healing injuries, camping out, the "home front" and talking.
- PsyLink AKA "the Drift," similar to the Pacific Rim, in which 2+ characters share their minds in order to activate unknown defenses for Xistentia. Again, characters will be unaware of how the Avatar protocol (the mystery measures) exactly manifests.
PSYLINK DESIGN
The PsyLink between 2+ characters helps protect Xistentia through unknown mechanics. To maintain a connection, the character must resist intense emotions, as well as intrusive memories and future worries. It's about staying in the present and pulling your partner back from the edge. Mechanistically, that means characters will have to save each other from reliving traumatic memories, fending off a unique shadow entity that symbolizes these psychological triggers.

Labyrinth Name: parris island
Brief Description: the marine training boot camp in parris island, south carolina. specifically the bunk building, consisting of two columns of bunkbeds, an office, the head (latrines), and a mess hall. opening any of the doors to the outside sets you back at the end of the bunk room. it's oppressively hot and muggy with it.
Shadow Name: leonard lawrence
Brief Description: this leonard is a far cry from the real leonard ever was - he doesn't look like much at first, but looking at the back of his head will reveal there's nothing there, blood and brains exploded outwards from a splintered skull. he'll follow joker around wherever he goes, dragging his feet, sometimes asking for help, sometimes pointing a finger of blame for the state of his skull, and sometimes hurling a never-ending stream of abuse in the voice of staff sgt hartman, the drill instructor.
Plans So Far? joker is WAY out of his depth in this place full of magic users and sword wielders so mostly my plans for him are to make that really super obvious and maybe the real war was the friends we made along the way
