Character name and canon: Joseph Kavinsky, The Raven Cycle

About them: Kavinsky is canonically a creepy, kidnapping asshole, addicted to cocaine and saying vile stuff about women and consent, as well as actively suicidal. After two years of CRAU in Eudio, however, he's changed a little, better able to cope with his self-loathing and capable of recovering from heartbreak. That being said, he's still tremendously selfish and lashes out at others, especially if he cared about them and believes they'd hurt him first. The fact he boasts an incredibly potent superpower doesn't help.

Current plans: World War III is coming-- currently, Kavinsky is slated to play a horrible magic trick on Vex, his boyfriend, exposing the fact that Vex is still truly in love with his ex. He will then fall into a familiar, crippling depression. Pending his other CR follows through on what they're supposed to do, Kavinsky will then be returning to his ex, Aric, for at least a little while! Apart from that, Rafaello D'Este is going to be turning him into a vampire-dream thief hybrid!

Desired CR: Positive, negative, and mixed CR may all apply! Kavinsky is an insecure and selfish asshole. Minimally, his sense of humor is sexist, racist, and fraught with token offenses; at his worst, he commits reckless felonious crimes to hurt people. That being said, he has a better sense of balance these days, and has demonstrated great loyalty to those who stand by him.

Not looking for: Huge backward slides into canon, or endgame ships.

Other info: [Copy-pasted] I have a few quirks! I value communication and reciprocity with my RP partners, especially with close CR, if I'm taking all of the initiative/brainstorming, then I'll probably check out sooner than later. I also don't make hard commitments to endgame ships without a fairly long trial run. I'm 100% cool with keeping it light to feel things out.

Rafa is very ready for Fledgling Kavinsky! I think he'll come to see Kavinsky anyway after things go down with Vex because he'll want to check he's okay (of course he won't be okay) (why would he ever be), and they can maybe talk about it then or if Kavinsky's not feeling good about it then, later in the month.

Also there is info Rafa would give him before turning him - namely he would explain all of the various powers and weaknesses to make sure Kavinsky understood them, and he'd answer any questions Kavinsky might have. I don't know if you'd want to thread that out - if you do I'm happy to! If not, we could handwave it and if there's any more info you need/want, we can chat about it oocly.

Rafa would also like to introduce him to Shane at some point, definitely before turning him since he'd consider him part of their family!

AH that sounds very good! We can handwave the vampire infodump since my RL is a mess. But I'm happy tod o the check-in. I'm not very good at gettin' Sam even when I'm more available, so maybe we should handwave Shane and Kavinsky's initial meeting too, depending! it can be brief and they can get to know each other better later maybe?

I showed this to Sam and she's good with this! So we can handwave that they at least know about each other for now, that would be enough for Rafa. I will have Rafa hit Kavinsky up shortly after Spidermarvel to check in with him. He'll come to see him if that's okay! Prepare 4 window visits, son.
