MAJOR BULLETIN: Sex Party, Succubus vs. Thief Events

Now that everyone got home safely from the 'world hop' kidnapping by the Grinch, we're moving on to two events. The first is an IC gala-- or rather, orgy sponsored by an NPC. In the background, the mini-plot demons vs thieves will be running for those who signed up last month. Additionally, the mini-plot will involve some (non-sexual) open prompts for anyone to participate in regardless of previous signups.

Event: Mora's Orgy

Our friendly local succubus, Mora (

succy), is throwing a shindig starting January 7 (Sunday). This is a sexual event that starts as a celebration. However, as a mysterious group of thieves begins to try and penetrate the gala, no pun intended, it gradually becomes a questionable trap, with increasing use of aphrodisiacs (not to be mistaken for mind-control, similar to alcohol intoxication) to thwart the interlopers. The party itself is slated to run seven days at Mora's home property. The mansion features sumptuous backdrops including massive beds, vast underground pools, and a dance area.

High-quality food and alcohol will be provided. It is entirely possible for individuals to come and engage in other sensuous activities that do not involve sexual contact, especially earlier in the event. Backtags welcome.

Note it is possible for characters to catch onto Mora's use of intoxicants and confront her.

In contrast to the month's sex party, the subplots described below involve smaller stage threads that will run for multiple months.

Open Subplot: Daemonic Madness

Catastrophe! The succubus Mora has taken magical measures to try and protect her people from the thieves... but the interactions with Xistentia's native magical protections has caused a damaging ripple effect across the daemons within city limits. Sure as ever, no physical damage is caused. Instead, a series of delusions and hallucinations spreads across the city, causing citizens to become paranoid and overprotective of their most treasured attachments.

It's up to PCs to detain and restrain troublemakers, catch and fix the impaired daemons, or make some trouble themselves!

The symptoms of the madness are based on possessive paranoia, matching the succubus' concerns with theft. Affected individuals become obsessively paranoid about harm that might come to attachments, either people or material objects. This may result in a range of behaviors, from shut-in, codependendent jealousy with a loved one, grand gestures of love, impulsive assassination attempts on strangers who appear to be mortal enemies from the past (thwarted by the protective wards if within the city), or even-- ironically— theft, of objects mistaken to be yours.

The ripple effect will last 3 weeks in unpredictable waves, coming and going at random until it eventually fizzles out.

Closed Subplots

Security Hire
Tentative Assignment: Marcus & Rosie
After things come to a head with a public disruption, several PCs may try to persuade Mora not to take matters into her own hands. With that, you may sign up to become security for the sex industry workers. Though what you ultimately do with any thieves you catch is another question entirely.

Thief Hunting
Tentative Assignment: Juno, Jughead, & Peter [Nuruyev]
Beat feet, find something out about whodunnit. This part of the mini-plot may involve any range of skills, from forensics to magic, to simple 'people skills' talking to potential witnesses. Learn more about these sly and cunning individuals who are stealing from the sex workers.

Delila
Tentative Assignment: Hunter & Vanyel
One of Mora's companions, a young woman by the name of Delila, lost a precious belonging to one of the thieves-- and as a consequence, she seems to have lost control of her powers. This would be less of a problem if her power wasn't to temporarily steal away the powers of others. Talk her through, connect with her emotionally, find out why she's so upset. Perhaps you can even teach her to control her abilities.

As noted, these threads are locked to those who previously signed up. However, the assignments are tentative for now! Please contact China before January 9 if you'd like a different assignment.

enable_me_plz again! All submissions on the last ETP will be included, but if you'd like to update or add, please head down to the comments to fill out the form. The purpose is to invite new players and characters to your canon.

Reminders

Test Drive meme will open on January 13, 2017! This will include snapshots of Mora's party and the daemonic hallucinations subplot.
Again, the check-in will be cancelled in January 2018. Thus, the next will take place in March 2018.

If it's starting as a celebration and then devolving into a den of debauchery is it being advertised as a sexual party from the get go, or a normal(ish) party?

It will be clearly described as a festival for all things sensual (of the senses) with a large space for sexual activities. The latter space will be available from the get-go and very clear, but they will then get out of hand, not as neatly confined as originally declared and expected! Does that make sense?

So like. A festival to indulge your senses, with a focus on sexual, but the sexual aspect having it's own space separate from what I'm going to assume is food and drink and dance, etc.? And then ofc when things go cray there is no longer a clear separation?

Mostly just want to know if Era would be able to go and enjoy herself initially without feeling as though she's meant to have sex. If that makes sense asgklhj

Yes, sure! As long as Era comes in the first couple days, it should suit her just fine. Later than that, things will start to get out of hand. It won't be coercive, but if one's plan was to show up and have a totally SFW experience, she'll be uncomfortable and likely want to leave.
