MAJOR BULLETIN: Confession Event, Reminders

After a couple weeks of whacky power hijinks, things quiet down a spell. The residents throw a lovely mingle in order to usher in new arrivals and the Spring season... only for D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. to unleash a psychic bomb. Rather than killing or maiming, this unique weapon compels confessions out of party-goers.

Event: Psychic Bomb (Forced Confession)

In April, Spring starts to return to Xistentia. Snows and ice have melted off the beach completely. Appropriately enough, the residents have decided to throw a series of mingle events outdoors, by the treeline. There will be music, there will be food, there will be indiscretions under boughs lined with new foliage.

But D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. attacks. A unique psychic weapon will be launched across the water from the interdimensional membrane, crossing the sea and beach and striking the party. Instead of physical harm and destruction, the weapon will compel the residents to tell each other secrets and confessions. It's the intention of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. to weaken the relationships between citizens, and therefore take down the city's remarkable defenses.

Your character will be able to opt out of this event. A PC will warn everyone on the network, approximately five minutes before the attack, giving characters an opportunity to leave. Others may use willpower to resist, or or locking oneself away after being warned of the fallout.

Resolution will take place in two parts. The first requires PCs to stop the bomb effects by retrieving oozing black residue from the forest. The second part will take place in May!

Changes to Activity/Check-In

Earlier this month, we made a minor mod announcement regarding changes to activity. You can find more information here, but the summary was copied below:

Following the recent activity Check-In, we have for the first time had a couple of players who were unable to make AC. As we have not had any formal process for dealing with this to date, the Mods discussed each player's circumstance with them. Those who wished to drop from the game will now be SWEPT from it. Those who wished to stay have taken an activity STRIKE.

Latest Icebreaker

Through April, we will be maintaining our acrostic icebreaker! Per last month's announcement, this icebreaker is a glitch, potentially posted without your character's explicit consent by their daemon. As such, the information it contains may be woefully inaccurate. Of course, if you prefer your character to voluntarily write their own acrostic, they can!

Power Overwrite
