[janus stands six feet even. beside the toothfairy, they are almost melodramatically tall. from afar, they'd make a very odd couple— she's iridescent green and blue and a crown of gold. janus, on the other hand, is dressed in monochrome. black on black, in sharp contrast with their florida-inappropes pallor. a piano-key man, their spine is as straight as the toothfairy's little frame is curvy.
her hand is so little. janus peers down at it for a moment. they wonder if the room isn't starting to feel slightly cooler, or if-- they're just close to the fridge now. and while they are wondering this, suddenly????? a fairy??? starts poking around janus' mouth??????? which doesn't seem like it should necessarily be a novel experience, considering janus' history but
there's always gonna be firsts.]
Oh! [janus looks surprised, trying to wind their head backward on its stem.] What is your daughter looking for? I'm afraid I may bite her. [she's so little; it could go very badly.]
