[ he's not surprised by her reaction. in a way, it's much like archie's, though her expression is far more restrained as is her way. he finds it interesting how composed she tends to be, even in the worst of situations and envies that about her.

but that's neither here nor there, he thinks to himself. what she's asking now is something that needs some serious consideration. without knowing if they'll ever make it back to their world, how will he know if learning about the future will affect his? he already knows that archie kissed betty, is still reeling from the fallout of that. so does he want to know what might have happened?

part of him burns to know. glancing over at the serpents jacket he arrived in, he frowns. he wants to know what happens to him, if he joins the serpents for real ( because part of him has been considering it ) and how that might affect his relationship with betty. and then there's the whole he broke up with betty bit that archie disclosed. how could he have possibly broken up with her when he loves her so much?

jughead is a complicated individual. he's intelligent, quick-thinking, and definitely suspicious of the world they're currently in. so he's not sure if knowing the future will benefit or harm him. taking a moment to sip his coffee, he makes a noise in the back of his throat. ]

Not gonna lie, I'm tempted. But we're dealing with unknown factors in this place and there's no knowing if we'll make it back. If we do, it wouldn't be good for me to know my own future. Archie's already told me too much already.
